Regards Croisés Québec-Bénin: the residency begins
Today the first act of Regards Croisés Québec-Bénin begins, an international residency organised by the Afro-Musée de Montréal. I am one of the six Beninese artists selected.

The residency brings together ten artists from Benin and Quebec. It is organised by the Afro-Musée de Montréal with Le Monde de Sica and Femme & Pouvoir TV. Its theme: “Crossings, Identity and Eco-materials”.
Three weeks between Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Ouidah and Ganvié
The first days are devoted to welcome and to discovering the places. The creation period runs from 26 October to 3 November. Each artist makes two original works. The installation takes place on 4 November and the opening on 5 November. The second act will take place in Montreal in 2027.
I will share the residency here and on Instagram as the days go by: the places, the encounters, the works taking shape.
